Good Paint Jobs Start With Good Habits

Painting looks simple, but the fumes, dust, and chemicals involved deserve real respect. Open containers only in ventilated areas, and avoid breathing in vapour directly from the can or while spraying.

Wash your hands before every break and at the end of the working day. Never eat, drink, or smoke while painting — contamination travels further than you'd expect.

Take off any contaminated clothing immediately, and always wash it separately before wearing it again. These aren't extra steps; they're the difference between a clean job and a health hazard.

Application Safety Tips
Prep In The Right Order
Scrape off old paint, fill cracks with filler, sand the filled areas, then cover floors, furniture, switches and sockets with masking tape before opening any can.
Paint In Correct Order
Always follow: Ceiling ? Cornices/edges/corners ? Walls ? Wooden surfaces ? Skirtings. The right order saves both time and material for consumer and applicator alike.
Clean As You Go
Keep windows open for ventilation, clean off spatters or spills while still wet, store remaining paint properly, and wash painting equipment right after use.
